Abstract

In this paper, we considered the numerical simulation for the control of Lasser fever, a mathematical model for the spread and control of Lassa fever was formulated and analyzed. The model incorporates a control parameter. The reproduction number which is a basic tool for disease control was analyzed with the help of characteristic equation. It is known that when  the disease dies out and when  the disease persists in the population. Finally, numerical simulations were carried out using maple (2015) software to show the effects of the control measure parameter on the susceptible male, infected male, susceptible female and infected female compartments of the model.

Keywords: Mathematical model, ordinary differential equations, maple 2015, laser fever
