Abstract
Nowadays the medical technology is growing very fast, demanding faster, efficient and economical improvement in medical techniques. This research paper presents a low cost, portable direct cum video ophthalmoscopic system which can work alone as well as with the video system. It gives an upgradable result with the use of digital image processing incorporated in it. It is used to study the human eye and diagnose the eye diseases. This system provides visualization by the doctor as well as when by using video camera and thus allows for viewing the real time image on the display screen.
